WEEKEND TRIP: SAPRI & THE CILENTO COAST ADVENTURE

Date: Friday to Sunday, June 12-14  Escape the city and dive into one of Southern Italy’s most stunning hidden gems: the town of Sapri on the breathtaking Cilento Coast! This all-inclusive weekend is perfect for adventurers, nature lovers, and anyone ready for a unique blend of exploration, relaxation, and fun in the sun.  

Trip Highlights: 

  • Boat tour of the hidden grottos and the pristine Baia degli Infreschi (Bay of Frescos) 

  • Sailing + water sports at a local sailing club 

  • Hiking along the scenic “Apprezami l’asino” trail to the Bay of Love 

  • Guided visit to the WWF Oasis of Bussento Grottos 

  • Beach time, beautiful views, and local charm in Sapri

Trip Info & Deadlines: 

  • Participants must be at least 18 years old by the start date of the trip 

  • Registration deadline: Monday, 25 May 2026 

  • Withdrawal deadline: Monday, 25 May 2026 

  • Trip switch policy deadline: Monday, 1 June 2026 

  • No-show/late cancellation fee: €390 

  • Minimum participants: 14 

  • Max participants: 21 

  • An athletic physical conducted by an Italian sports doctor within 12 months of the trip start date is required. For more information, please email athletics@johncabot.edu. 

  • Hiking difficulty: Moderate to Moderately Strenuous This hike will generally be challenging for an unconditioned person. The terrain involves a steady and often steep incline. Hiking boots are mandatory for this trip (a free boot rental is included with the trip fee).
