Discover two of Rome's most authentic neighborhoods on a walking tour that combines history, local traditions, and one of the city's most beloved food markets.

Our morning begins in the heart of Trastevere, where we will meet at Piazza Trilussa before exploring its charming cobblestone streets, lively squares, and hidden corners. Along the way, you will discover the unique identity of this historic neighborhood, known for its artisan shops, vibrant atmosphere, and centuries-old traditions.

Our first stop will be the Basilica of Santa Cecilia in Trastevere, where we will learn about the history of this remarkable church, its connection to Saint Cecilia, and the ancient Roman domus preserved beneath it. We will then continue our walk toward the Testaccio district, crossing the historic Ponte Sublicio and discovering the fascinating evolution of one of Rome's most authentic neighborhoods.

The experience concludes at the lively Testaccio Market, where you will explore the stalls alongside JCU staff, learn about the importance of local markets in Roman daily life, and enjoy tastings while interacting with local vendors. We will finish the activity with lunch at the market, the perfect opportunity to experience the flavors and culinary traditions that have made Testaccio one of Rome's gastronomic capitals.
