Discover Emilia-Romagna with John Cabot University: a journey through the heart of Italy’s cultural and culinary treasures. Emilia-Romagna, a region renowned for its rich culinary traditions, vibrant art, and historic landmarks, offers an unforgettable experience. From medieval castles to luxury car museums, and from exquisite cuisine to breathtaking landscapes, this region is the perfect blend of tradition and innovation.
Our adventure begins with a lunch in Modena, the birthplace of balsamic vinegar and a gastronomic hub celebrated worldwide. Relish the authentic flavors of local specialties in a welcoming atmosphere before continuing our exploration. In Bologna, where we’ll spend two nights, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the city’s medieval towers, elegant porticoes, and lively piazzas. A special highlight of our visit will be the walk along the iconic porticoes from the city center to the Monastery of San Luca, perched on a hill with breathtaking views over the surrounding countryside.
Feel the excitement of Italian craftsmanship at the Ferrari Museum, where you’ll uncover the story of one of the world’s most iconic car brands through dazzling exhibits and immersive experiences. We’ll also visit a historic villa for a tasting of premium local olive oil, immersing ourselves in the traditions and flavors that define the region.
Step back in time at the Gradara Castle, a perfectly preserved medieval fortress steeped in history and surrounded by stunning views of the countryside. As preparation for this unforgettable journey, before departing for Emilia-Romagna, join our talented chef Claudia in Rome for a hands-on cooking class, where you’ll master the art of making traditional tortellini. This fun and interactive session will be followed by a delightful dinner to kick off the experience in true Italian style. Join us for this exceptional journey through Emilia-Romagna, where history, culture, and gastronomy come together to create memories that will last a lifetime!
