Escape to Terra Sabina: A Day of Cheesemaking, Olive Oil Tasting, and Tranquility.
Join John Cabot University for an exclusive day trip to Terra Sabina, a hidden gem in the Roman countryside. Just a short distance from the city, this serene agriturismo offers a perfect retreat into nature, where the art of traditional food-making meets the charm of the Italian countryside.
Our group will have the entire agriturismo’s cottage reserved exclusively for us, ensuring an intimate and peaceful experience. Surrounded by lush greenery and the gentle hills of Sabina, you’ll find yourself immersed in a world of tranquility far from the bustling city.
The day begins with a cheesemaking workshop, where you’ll learn the secrets of crafting fresh Italian cheese from expert local artisans. Roll up your sleeves and experience the hands-on joy of creating something delicious from scratch. Afterward, we’ll explore the art of olive oil tasting. Sabina is renowned for its high-quality extra virgin olive oil, and you’ll discover the nuances of flavor and aroma that make it so exceptional. Guided by a knowledgeable host, you’ll learn how to taste and appreciate this golden treasure of the region.A farm-to-table lunch featuring the cheese and olive oil you’ve made, alongside other regional specialties, will be served in the cozy cottage setting. This is a moment to savor the flavors of Sabina and the fruits of your labor, surrounded by the beauty of the countryside.
The day is not just about culinary experiences but also about unwinding and connecting with nature. Take a leisurely stroll around the property, soak in the peaceful atmosphere, or simply relax in the cottage, enjoying the exclusivity of the space reserved just for us. This unique day trip is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with simple pleasures, and embrace the authentic beauty of the Italian countryside.
