Weekend Trip: Sapri & the Cilento Coast Adventure
Escape the city and dive into one of Southern Italy’s most stunning hidden gems—Sapri, along the breathtaking Cilento Coast! This all-inclusive weekend is perfect for adventurers, nature lovers, and anyone ready for a unique blend of exploration, relaxation, and fun in the sun.
What's Included:
- Round-trip train travel from Rome to Sapri
- All local shuttle transportation throughout the trip
- Two-night stay in a cozy B&B
- Full board: all meals included (breakfasts, packed lunches, and dinners)
- Guided boat tour of the hidden grottos and the pristine Baia degli Infreschi (Bay or Frescos)
- Sailing and water sports experience at a local sailing club
- Guided hike along the scenic “Apprezami l’asino” trail to the Bay of Love
- Visit to the WWF Oasis of Bussento Grottos with expert guides
- Free time to enjoy the beach, local charm, and beautiful views in Sapri
- Free hiking boots rental (mandatory for all participants)
- Friendly and knowledgeable guides and JCU representatives throughout the trip

- Comfortable and casual changes of clothes for the free time in town
Trip Info & Deadlines:
- Participants must be at least 18 years old by the start date of the trip
- Registration deadline: August 18
- Withdrawal deadline: August 22
- Trip switch deadline: August 28
- No-show or late cancellation fee: €400
- Level of difficulty: Moderate to Moderately Strenuous - This hike will generally be challenging for an unconditioned person. The terrain involves a steady and often steep incline. Hiking boots are mandatory for this trip (a free boot rental is included with the trip fee).
- An athletic physical conducted by an Italian sports doctor within 12 months of the trip start date is required. For more information, please email athletics@johncabot.edu.
